For the 200,000 Westchester residents who struggle with food insecurity, getting a meal on the table can be tough. A nutritious meal? Even tougher. March is National Nutrition Month—the Food Bank for Westchester ranks in the top 10% of all nationwide Feeding America food banks for providing and distributing the healthiest food for our neighbors. This month is the perfect opportunity to educate Westchester County about how important good nutrition is for families facing hunger, and reinforce the belief that a healthy life starts with a good meal.
We are asking you to help the FB4W provide nutritious food to our neighbors. Together we can create a hunger-free Westchester.
Westchester Toyota 22nd Give Back Contest
Westchester Toyota has chosen the FB4W as one of 3 local charities to help donate to by asking Facebook fans to vote for their favorite. Each charity will be awarded a donation based on their number of votes. The grand prize donation will help us continue to feed our neighbors healthy food.
Fresh Produce Initiatives
The Food Bank for Westchester is committed to providing a variety of healthy foods to the clients that we support in Westchester County. These are the individuals who rely on our member agencies for a consistent source of nutritious fresh fruit and vegetables.
Because of our commitment to nutrition, the Food Bank for Westchester procures fresh foods from local farmers and brokers for distribution to hungry Westchester residents. Learn how you can donate time and provide healthy fresh produce for our neighbors in the community.
