How To Help
Thank you for your interest in supporting the Food Bank for Westchester’s mission! We rely on the assistance of our community’s members in everything we do, and it’s a tribute to their dedication that we’re able to run so efficiently.
There are many ways to help us fight hunger in Westchester County.
Your gift makes a huge difference! By donating to the Food Bank your generous donation ensures that hungry people in Westchester County will have enough food to eat. Your donations allow us to buy food at discounted costs and help feed people through our various programs. For every $1 we receive, we can provide $4 worth of food to our hungry residents.
You can become a donor of the Food Bank by choosing how you want to give.
We have campaigns throughout the year:
General Online Giving
- Supporting our Kraft Mobile Food Pantry vehicle
- Setting up your own Online Special Campaign or Fundraiser
- In Honor or In Memory of Someone Special
- A General Donation
- Holiday Turkey Drive
You can also donate by mail or phone. For more information please call (914) 418-5204.
Volunteers work in our warehouse and offices and at our events. Volunteers also serve on our board of directors.
Last year, 8,747 volunteers donated 19,882 hours to the Food Bank so that others may eat. These efforts enabled us to distribute over 7.2 million pounds of food which is the equivalent of 6 million meals to those hungry or at risk of hunger in Westchester County.
Today and going forward we need more and more volunteers to support our frontline agencies, helping to expand their capacity to reach neighbors in need. For more information about becoming a volunteer please contact Nancy Lyons or Lynn Kaplan at (914) 923-1100
