Volunteer Opportunities:
Volunteers are critical to the effective operations of the Food Bank for Westchester and the approximately 200 emergency and community food programs in Westchester who provide free groceries to take home or cooked meals to hungry Westchester residents. Each year over 1,200 people donate close to 14,000 hours so that others may eat.
Volunteers are needed to fulfill a range of responsibilities essential to the operation of the food bank and our network of food programs. Opportunities abound in warehouse services, administration and public relations and fund development. Please fill out the Volunteer form; especially let us know what your skills and interests are. If you need additional information or have questions contact our Volunteer Coordinator at (914) 923-1100 or email
Nancy.Lyons@foodbankforwestchester.org

Warehouse Services:
The Food Bank for Westchester always needs volunteers at the Food Bank warehouse to help breakdown, assess the quality of and repackage food and non-food products into suitable sizes for distribution for our member programs. The majority of the volunteers are needed in this area. Below please see a schedule for warehouse activities. You may also arrange a special warehouse activity date for your group. Just call the Volunteer Coordinator.
Please remember that the Food Bank is a working warehouse, and we follow saftey and sanitation rules at all times. Because of that, we ask that an adult must accompany children under the age of 14.
