The core of our work is achieved by partnering with local member programs that distribute food to families and individuals in need. The key partners that make up our emergency food network are food pantries, soup kitchens and emergency shelters.
The Food Bank for Westchester acquires, warehouses, and distributes food to these member agencies throughout Westchester County. The food is then distributed to consumers who participate in those programs, as groceries to take home or as easy to prepare cooked meals. The Food Bank for Westchester annually distributes over 7.4 million pounds of food and groceries, to those hungry or at risk of hunger.
