The Adopt – A-
Pantry program is a pool fund for the Food
Bank member agencies. Each year the Food Bank
for Westchester places at a minimum of $20,000
into the fund and solicits funds from the donor
community. Current contributors to this fund
includes the ShopRite Partners in Caring Program,
which provides over $65,000 annually for Westchester
hunger fighting programs. Donors may contribute
their funds to become part of the “pool” distribution
or they may designate a specific program to benefit
from their donation. The Adopt – a- Pantry
funds are distributed to member programs as lines
of credit with the Food Bank.
The Food Bank member programs are asked
to provide a brief description of their need for
these funds, on their letterhead, three times a
year or a donor may specify a recipient. |
